Reflection Text 4Mental Grounding

A structured reading to bring your attention back from anticipation and rumination into the present moment.

Grounding is the act of returning to what is actually here — the surface under your feet, the rhythm of your breath, the light in the room, the sensations in your hands.

When the mind drifts into past or future, the body remains in the present. Use that. Anchor a few breaths in something you can sense right now before continuing to read.

A grounded mind makes clearer decisions, because it is not negotiating with imagined scenarios. It is responding to what is real.

Reflection prompts

Optional questions to journal on, in your own time.

  • Name three things you can sense in this moment.
  • What is one decision you have been making in your head that you can now bring back to the actual situation?

Your progress is tracked across all seven reflections.
